Installation
Simple steps for the best long-lasting results
PREPARE THE WALL
Ensure the wall is clean, dry, smooth and stable. Remove dust, grease, loose paint and old wallpaper. Repair any holes or cracks.
CHECK PAINT
The paint should be fully cured (minimum 3–4 weeks). Use a matte or eggshell finish. Avoid fresh, damp or peeling paint.
ALIGN & APPLY
Check the panel order and pattern alignment, then apply each panel carefully with a soft smoother to remove bubbles and secure the edges.
DRY & SET
Allow the wallpaper to set for 24–48 hours. Avoid washing, heavy cleaning or placing items against the wall during this time.
ROOM CONDITIONS: Install wallpaper in normal room conditions on a clean, dry, smooth wall with fully cured paint. Avoid very cold, hot, humid, damp, or freshly painted surfaces for the best long-lasting result.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is chinoiserie style?
Chinoiserie is a decorative style inspired by traditional Chinese art. It often features hand-painted-style elements like birds, cherry blossoms, pagodas, and intricate florals.
Is chinoiserie wallpaper too traditional for modern homes?
Not necessarily. When paired with clean lines and simple furniture, chinoiserie murals can create a unique blend of old-world charm and contemporary style. Minimalist color palettes or monochrome versions might also help it blend seamlessly with modern décor.
What rooms are best for chinoiserie wallpaper?
Chinoiserie murals could be ideal for bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, and dressing areas. They’re often used as statement walls behind beds or above sideboards to add an artistic and romantic touch.
What colors go well with chinoiserie murals?
Soft pastels, muted greens, dusty blues, ivory, and gold may complement chinoiserie designs well. For a bolder look, deep navy or emerald backgrounds can add drama while still keeping the style cohesive.
How do I style a room with chinoiserie wallpaper?
Consider pairing it with antique-style furniture, brass accents, silk or linen textiles, and minimal clutter. You can also add mirrors or soft lighting to highlight the mural's delicate details without overpowering the space.
