How to Measure
Measure the full wall at its widest and highest points, including doors, windows, sloped ceilings, stairs, cabinets, mirrors, electrical sockets, and other fixed features. Enter your exact wall width and height. Our production team automatically adds a 2-inch (5 cm) safety margin for precise trimming, ensuring a perfect fit during installation.
For unusual walls or additional examples, follow our wallpaper measuring guide.

Installation
Simple steps for the best long-lasting results
PREPARE THE WALL
Ensure the wall is clean, dry, smooth and stable. Remove dust, grease, loose paint and old wallpaper. Repair any holes or cracks.
CHECK PAINT
The paint should be fully cured (minimum 3–4 weeks). Use a matte or eggshell finish. Avoid fresh, damp or peeling paint.
ALIGN & APPLY
Check the panel order and pattern alignment, then apply each panel carefully with a soft smoother to remove bubbles and secure the edges.
DRY & SET
Allow the wallpaper to set for 24–48 hours. Avoid washing, heavy cleaning or placing items against the wall during this time.
ROOM CONDITIONS: Install wallpaper in normal room conditions on a clean, dry, smooth wall with fully cured paint. Avoid very cold, hot, humid, damp, or freshly painted surfaces for the best long-lasting result.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does ceiling wallpaper require professional installation?
Professional installation is recommended for large ceilings, paste-applied materials, complex layouts or any project where safe overhead access is uncertain.
Which XWALLX material should be used on a ceiling?
The choice depends on ceiling condition, room use and installation method, so test a sample and confirm the material with XWALLX or the installer before ordering.
Can wallpaper be installed on a textured or cracked ceiling?
No; the ceiling must be smooth, dry, stable and repaired because texture, cracks or loose paint can affect adhesion and remain visible.
How do I measure a ceiling with lights, beams or skylights?
Measure the complete rectangular ceiling area and identify every fixed light, beam, vent and skylight during proof review without subtracting openings.
Can XWALLX wallpaper be used on a bathroom ceiling?
Only consider a dry, stable ceiling with effective ventilation and no persistent condensation or direct water exposure; confirm the material before ordering.
What should I do if ceiling wallpaper begins to peel?
Stop and identify moisture, surface failure or installation problems before attempting a repair, then follow the material instructions or consult an installer.
Why would you wallpaper a ceiling?
Wallpapering a ceiling brings calm direction and upward depth that supports clean styling. Soft tones help lighting blend smoothly, especially in small rooms that need visual lift. This detail creates a composed, modern atmosphere.
