How to Measure

Measure the full wall at its widest and highest points, including doors, windows, sloped ceilings, stairs, cabinets, mirrors, electrical sockets, and other fixed features. Enter your exact wall width and height. Our production team automatically adds a 2-inch (5 cm) safety margin for precise trimming, ensuring a perfect fit during installation.
For unusual walls or additional examples, follow our wallpaper measuring guide.

  1. Standard Wall

Measure the widest width and tallest height.

  2. Walls with Obstacles

Measure the full wall. Ignore doors, windows and other obstacles.

  3. Sloped Walls

Measure as a complete rectangle. Excess wallpaper is trimmed after installation.

  4. Stairs

Measure the vertical height and horizontal width. Do not measure diagonally.

Installation

Simple steps for the best long-lasting results

  1. PREPARE THE WALL

Ensure the wall is clean, dry, smooth and stable. Remove dust, grease, loose paint and old wallpaper. Repair any holes or cracks.

  2. CHECK PAINT

The paint should be fully cured (minimum 3–4 weeks). Use a matte or eggshell finish. Avoid fresh, damp or peeling paint.

  3. ALIGN & APPLY

Check the panel order and pattern alignment, then apply each panel carefully with a soft smoother to remove bubbles and secure the edges.

  4. DRY & SET

Allow the wallpaper to set for 24–48 hours. Avoid washing, heavy cleaning or placing items against the wall during this time.

ROOM CONDITIONS: Install wallpaper in normal room conditions on a clean, dry, smooth wall with fully cured paint. Avoid very cold, hot, humid, damp, or freshly painted surfaces for the best long-lasting result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are wall murals suitable for rental apartments?

Yes, wall murals can be a great option for rental apartments—especially removable or peel-and-stick versions. They allow you to personalize your space without causing damage and can be taken down easily when you move out.

What sizes do bespoke wallpaper murals come in?

Wall murals come in a variety of sizes, from small panels to full-wall or even floor-to-ceiling designs. Common sizes include 8x10 ft, 10x12 ft, or custom dimensions tailored to your wall.

Are wall murals removable?

Yes, many wall murals—especially peel-and-stick types—are designed to be removable. They can be taken down without damaging the wall or leaving sticky residue, making them perfect for renters or temporary décor.

How do you clean a wall mural?

To clean a wall mural, gently wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges, as they can damage the surface. For vinyl murals, mild soap and water usually work well.

Do wall murals fade in sunlight?

Yes, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause wall murals to fade over time. UV rays break down the pigments, especially in printed or painted murals. To prevent fading, place murals on shaded walls or use UV-protective coatings.
